Quality and Development Department
The Quality and Development Unit consists of seven development managers, a Head Nurse (MAS), and a Head of Rehabilitation (MAR), and is led by the Quality Manager. The department is responsible for the cross-administrative quality and development work. We have several representatives in national networks and serve as a link between the national and local levels. Our tasks are varied and cover the entire administration.
We are now looking for a driven and confident Head Nurse (MAS) who wants to take a key role in our work to create patient-safe, modern, and person-centered care. Your Responsibilities
As a MAS, you are responsible for ensuring that healthcare within the social administration is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and that patients receive safe care of high quality. You follow up on the operations' work with patient safety and propose improvement measures based on identified deficiencies.
You have a central role in leading, developing, and quality-assuring the social services and municipal healthcare together with development managers. The work is carried out in close collaboration with managers, employees, and external partners, particularly the healthcare administration.
The role includes:
- Acting as an expert in the healthcare field
- Monitoring laws and regulations, as well as developing and following up on guidelines, particularly regarding documentation, medication management, and delegation
- Monitoring external issues regarding quality and patient safety and participating in relevant forums
- Participating in and conducting quality audits of both public and private providers
- Investigating and, if necessary, reporting patient injuries according to Lex Maria
- Providing support, advice, and training to unit managers and nurses on patient safety and quality issues
- Supporting operations in improvement work
- Responding to consultation requests and writing official memos
- Compiling and following up on the annual patient safety report
- Collaborating with the region's healthcare, including primary care, inpatient care, specialist care, and psychiatry
Who are you?
We are looking for a driven, licensed nurse who is confident in their professional role and wants to take a key role in developing patient-safe, modern, and person-centered care. You have broad experience in healthcare and experience from social services or municipal healthcare. You have also worked with quality and development issues.
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills. A Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position. The role also requires good communication skills, both oral and written, and that you feel confident giving presentations.
It is an advantage if you have specialist training in a relevant area, such as care of the elderly or as a district nurse. It is also an advantage if you have experience working as a Head Nurse (MAS) or working in a politically governed organization. Furthermore, education in healthcare law, leadership, or quality work is seen as an advantage, as is experience working with patient safety and quality issues.
To succeed in the assignment, you need a consultative approach and a positive mindset. You work independently and structured, while also finding it easy to collaborate with others and build trusting relationships.
You are strategic, driving, and initiative-taking, and have good analytical skills that allow you to assess different situations and adapt to changing conditions. In your working style, you are clear and pedagogical, and you find it easy to convey knowledge and create understanding in dialogue with others. You need a holistic view of the organization and a willingness to contribute to a good working environment.
